The Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation are inviting community members and allies to join their annual Every Child Matters Honour Walk on Wednesday.
It's being held in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Community members are encouraged to wear orange in solidarity.
Participants are asked to gather in the parking lot at Hillside Public School at 5 p.m. and walk as a group to the Veterans Memorial Monument
Chief Kimberly Bressette is scheduled to make remarks and a moment of silence is planned to honour residential school survivors and remember the children who never returned home.
A healing song and round dance are also planned.
