The Sarnia Golf and Curling Club (SGCC) wrapped up its pickleball season this past weekend by crowning champions in six divisions.
There were 71 games throughout the day on September 26, in the 3.5+ divisions.
Nga Nguyen and Reign Fisher captured first place in the women's category, Angie Dawes and Heather Stewart picked up silver and Ann Thompson Wambua and Han Nguyen won the bronze.
Nga Nguyen also had success in mixed doubles, taking home another gold medal alongside her partner Rob Tully.
Angie Dawes and Andre Clelland picked up silver and Han Hguyen and John Wright won bronze.
In men's doubles, Emillio Rocca and Brian Hutchins cruised to the gold medal; Mike Barron and Gord Annear won silver and John Wright and Brandon Owen took the bronze.
Action continued September 27 with 82 games across three brackets.
On the women's side, Liz Kelly and Liz Borges won gold, Karen Allen and Paula Blair won Silver and Sheri Kelly and Karen Tully picked up the bronze medal.
In the mixed division Diane Molean and Michael Brown won gold; Becky Dickson and Henry Dickson won silver with Hyunsook Kim and Brad Gray winning bronze.
In men's doubles, Jeff Blackbird and George Jose of Wallaceburg won gold, Angelo Mendezabal and Jonrhey Limson won silver and Colin Prentice and Morgan Braun won the bronze medal.
The event, sponsored by Wright Construction and Northend Appliance, raised money in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children.
The 2027 pickleball season gets underway in May at the SGCC.
