People looking to make a difference in the Town of Petrolia are invited to apply for grant money under its community fund.
The Petrolia Community Impact Grants are being doled out in collaboration with the Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF).
Since being established in 2012, the Petrolia Community Fund has given $83,000 in support of things like youth programs, facility improvements, and projects.
In a news release, Mayor Brad Loosley said at the heart of Petrolia is an undeniable pride in the community.
"A pride that comes from being a part of something very special," said Loosley. "Our community thrives because of the continued generosity of spirit that is shared by our residents and community supporters. We are so grateful to those that share such meaningful gifts with us.”
SCF Executive Director Mike Barron said "there is so much happening in the Town of Petrolia, including the growth of the Petrolia Community Fund. We certainly look forward to assisting with the Petrolia Community Impact Grants!”
You can submit a grant application until November 30 by emailing [email protected].
Those with questions can call the SCF office at 519-332-2588 or visit their website.
