Bluewater Triathlon This Weekend

The 34th annual Bluewater Triathlon and Duathlon is set for this weekend in Bright's Grove. There are six adult races planned for Saturday with the Ironkid race set for Sunday. Spokesman Ken Walker says there are a number of different races depending on skill level.

[audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Walker-1.mp3"][/audio] The races get underway at 8:30am, beginning at St. John's In The Wilderness Church and wrapping up at Wildwood Park. Old Lakeshore Rd. between Pine Ave. and Penhuron Dr. will be closed from 6am until 2pm Saturday and from 11am until 2pm Sunday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
