Jordan Kyrou Named to Canadian U-18 Team

The Sarnia Sting's Jordan Kyrou is one of 22 players named to the Canadian team that will compete at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in the Czech Republic and Slovakia August 10-15. The forward is one of six players selected from the OHL. Canada has won the annual summer under-18 tournament for the last seven years. The team will compete in a group with the Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland. Group B consists of Finland, Russia, Slovakia and the U.S.

Sting defenceman Jakob Chychrun did not attend selection camp after having had shoulder surgery at the end of last season.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
