Legionnaires' Awards Banquet Winners

At the Sarnia Legionnaires Awards Banquet Saturday Brandon Layman was named the team's MVP.

Top point-getter was Ryan Vandramin with 24 goals and 43 assists.

Captain Hunter Tyczynski won the Spirit Award.

Rookie of the year honours were shared by Brock Perry and Eric Marsh.

Brad Yowart was top defenceman.

Alex Dekoning was the MVP of the playoffs with 7 points in 7 post season games.

Jordan Fogerty was named Most Dedicated Player and P-J Vandervaart won the Peoples Choice Award.

The Volunteer of the Year went to the army cadets of the First Hussars, who helped out at Legionnaire home games.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
