Pacers Split A Pair Weekend Games

The Pacers missed an opportunity to get back to .500 on the season following a 7-2 loss to Niagara Sunday afternoon at Pt Edward Arena. Coming off a 5-3 win over Owen Sound Saturday, Cole Wilkinson and Brett Barnes scored 49 seconds apart as the Pacers jumped out to a 2-1 first period lead over Niagara. The Thunderhawks rallied from there, scoring six unanswered goals en route to the victory.

A pair of upcoming home games for the Pacers against some division rivals, they host Wallaceburg Wednesday and Windsor Friday, both at Pt Edward Arena. The Pacers fall to 3-5 on the season, trailing division leading Windsor by just two points.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
