Overtime Win Gives London A 3-0 Series Lead

The London Knights have a 3-0 series lead after a 6-5 overtime win in Niagara last night.

The IceDogs enjoyed leads of 4-1 and 5-2 before the Knights scored three straight to force overtime.

Owen MacDonald scored the winner in the extra period.

Max Jones returned to the lineup after missing 12 games after a blindside hit against Owen Sound in the first round.

Niagara forward Brenden Perlini returned from a three game ban stemming from the Eastern Conference Finals against Barrie.

Rouyn-Noranda has a 3-0 lead over Shawinigan going into tonight's game four of the QMJHL Final.

In other OHL news, former Sarnia Sting defenceman Mike Van Ryn has resigned as Head Coach of the Kitchener Rangers due to family reasons. He lead the Rangers to a 44-17-5-2 record during his only season as head coach.

He is one of three finalists for the Matt Leyden Trophy as OHL Coach of the Year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
