Braves Offence Leads The Way In London

The Sarnia Braves had their bats going in London last night, scoring 13 runs in a vitory over the Badgers at historic Labatt Park.

Wade Babula picked up the victory for Sarnia as the right handed hurler moved to 2-0 on the season. He scattered four hits over six innings of work.

John Ambrose threw three innings of shutout ball to lock down his second save of the season, in as many opportunities.

After tailing 5-3, they scored three runs with two outs in the fifth to take a 6-5 lead. They added three more in the sixth to break the game wide open.

The Braves put the game away with a four run eighth, capping off the 13-6 win and moving to 3-0 on the season.

Sarnia is back in action this Friday night in Courtright as they face the Cardinals in exhibition action.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
