Imperials Clinch West Division With OT Win

With redemption, and another West Division title on their minds, the Imperials would not be outdone Saturday.

The Imperials beat the GTA All Stars 35-28 in overtime to win their second straight West Division title.

The victory was made extra sweet as Sarnia's lone loss on the season came against GTA, a lopsided 75-17 game June 25 at Norm Perry Park.

Another strong day for the Imperial's defence, as they had six interceptions, with Kevin McMillian leading the way with three.

Quarterback Pat Wright went nine for 30 for 180 yards and two touchdown passes.

With the win the Imperials are now 6-1 and own best record in the entire Northern Football Conference.

Sarnia will get some rest with a bye this weekend, as they prepare for their final regular season game in Sudbury on July 30. They can clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win.
