Canada Wins Sixth Medal At Olympics

Canada won the bronze medal in the women's 4-by-200 metre freestyle relay Wednesday, the fourth medal in swimming. It's also the third medal for 16-year-old rising star Penny of Toronto who qualified for the women's 100 freestyle final with a Canadian record and world junior record time of 52.72 seconds. The final goes tonight

Meanwhile Tim Schrijver races in the Men's fours semi finals today after bad weather cancelled rowing events Wednesday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
