INTERVIEW: Sarnia Hockey Coach Receives Award

David Currie received an award for coaching excellence from the Coaches Association of Ontario on the weekend.

Currie is one of 11 coaches to be recognized and acknowledged for their hard work and accomplishments.

The coach of the Giant Tigers, a peewee team made up ofof 11 and 12-year-olds, was nominated by his players and their families.

Currie has coached a local minor hockey team for the last five years.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
