Junior Football Season Underway

The Northern Jr. Vikings started their 2016 season off at Norm Perry Park Tuesday with a 18-8 win over visiting Chatham-Kent Secondary School Hawks.

The Vikings did most of their scoring in the first quarter, with Vikings' quarterback Avery Smiley scored twice from 30 and 2 yards out. Smiley would finish the game with three rushing touchdowns.

The Hawks got on the scoreboard at the end of the fourth after a series of plays resulted in a 15 yard pass and run into the endzone. The Hawks converted their two point attempt.

The senior boys football schedule gets underway on Thursday.
