Hockey Briefs for October 27

With several regulars out of the lineup, Lambton Shores lost a lopsided game in LaSalle Wednesday night.

Brett Fisher scored twice, while Marcell Berube and Owen Routheut tallied singles in the 10-4 loss against the first place Vipers. LaSalle has won 11 of their last 12 games, with their only loss coming in overtime against Chatham.

Petrolia's Brenden Trottier scored late in the third to give London a 4-3 win over St. Thomas.

In PJHL action, coming off their first win of the season Wallaceburg fell to Amherstburg 5-2 Wednesday night. Mooretown is at Petrolia Thursday night.

The Sarnia Sting are ninth in the latest CHL Top 10 Rankings, they are one of four OHL teams to make the list.

One game in the OHL Wednesday. Owen Sound scored a pair of shorthanded goals in a 5-2 win over Guelph.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
