Hockey Briefs for October 31

The Sarnia Legionnaires (9-7-0-0) dropped a 4-2 decision in Leamington Sunday evening.

Joey Zappa and Sam McCormack opened the scoring for Sarnia, but the Legionnaires surrendered four unanswered goals.

Brendan Trottier scored in London's 5-3 win over Chatham.

Wallaceburg was shut out 5-0 by Amherstburg.

Mooretown is in Wheatly Monday night.

The Petrolia Squires improved to 4-1 on the season with a 4-2 come from behind win over Ripley on Friday night.

Lambton Jr. Sting Major Midgets won both their games on the weekend, 3-0 in Kitchener Saturday and 5-3 over Huron Perth Sunday. The Minor Midgets lost to Cambridge Sunday.

The Sarnia Sting lost 6-4 to North Bay on Sunday, losing two out of three weekend games.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
