Firebirds Burn Sting 3-1

The Sarnia Sting dropped a 3-1 decision to the Flint Firebirds on Thursday.

The Firebirds scored 5:28 into the first period to take a 1-0 advantage, and then extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal early in the second.

Flint added their third goal of the night 2:46 into the third, but Ryan McGregor put the Sting on the board with a goal with just over five minutes left to play. However, Flint was able to keep Sarnia at bay in the final minutes to ensure their win.

The Sting will head to Windsor next to battle the Spitfires on Friday at 7:35pm.
