Local Hockey Notes For November 28

A pair of games Sunday that caused a bit of a shuffle in the GOJHL standings. Cade Robbins scored the only goal as the Legionnaires lost 4-1 in Leamington. The win helps the Flyers jump ahead of the Legionnaires by a point in the Western Conference standings. Sarnia is in London Wednesday. Chatham beat St Mary's 5-2. The win helps the Maroons leapfrog the Legionnaires and Flyers into third place in the West.

Petrolia surrendered four third period goals and lost 5-4 to Wheatley. Kole Keating had a goal and two assists in the loss. Mooretown travels to Wheatley tonight

The Lambton Jr Sting Major Midgets beat Brantford 5-3 Sunday to win their fifth straight game. Jon Sanderson scored twice for the hockey club.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
