NHL Notes for December 6

Sam Gagner had two goals and two assists as Columbus beat Arizona 4-1. The Blue Jackets have won four in a row and nine of their last 12. The win was the 500th in the history of the franchise.

Marcus Johanson scored a pair, including the overtime winner as Washington got by Buffalo 3-2. Caps forward Marcus Johansson tied the game late.

David Pastrnak's second of the game was the difference in Boston's 4-3 OT win over Florida. Sidney Crosby potted his league leading 17th goal in wild 8-5 win over Ottawa. Bryan Rust notched his first career hat trick while Phil Kessel had a goal and two assists for the Pens.

The Montreal Canadiens have announced former Sting forward Alex Galchenyuk is out indefinitely with a lower body injury. He was hurt after colliding with Kings forward Anze Kopitar Sunday night. The 22-year-old has nine goals and 23 points in 25 games this season.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
