Jr. Sting Minor Midgets Pick Up Road Victory

The Lambton Jr. Sting picked up a road win Tuesday evening, beating the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs 2-1 in Komoka.

Nolan DeGurse and Cole Clements both scored their 11th goals of the season, DeGurse leads the team with 22 points in 30 regular season games.

Andrew Maclean had an impressive outing in net.

The win snaps a streak of seven straight regular season losses for the hockey club, and is their first victory over the Chiefs this season, in their final meeting.

Two more games on the regular season for the hockey club, both on the road. They are on the road in Hamilton Wednesday night before wrapping up the campaign Saturday afternoon in Stratford against Huron-Perth.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
