Otters Sting Sarnia

The visiting Erie Otters beat the Sarnia Sting 8-2 Friday night.

Alex DeBrincot scored twice for Erie with singles going to Kyle Pettitt, Kyle Maksimovich, Christian Girhiny, Jordan Sambrook, Owen Headrick and Gera Poddubnyi.

Jordan Kyrou and Jaden Lindo replied for the Sting.

Aiden Hughes started in goal for Sarnia and gave up six goals on 24 shots before being replaced by Justin Fazio to begin the third period.

Joseph Murdaca allowed two goals on 21 shots.

Sarnia is home to Sault Ste. Marie Saturday at 3;30pm. The pregame show starts at 3;05pm on 103.9 FM - 1070 AM CHOK.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
