Former Sting Chase Bronze At World University Games

Canada will play for bronze following a loss to Russia Tuesday morning in the semifinals of the World University Games in Kazakhstan. Former Sting defencemen Nathan Chiarletti and Alex Basso are both with Canada at the Tournament.

Basso has helped the offence with five assists in five games. Chiarletti has chipped in with one assist while providing a stable defensive presence for the Canadian squad.

Canada features several former OHLers, including Brett Welychka, Spencer Abraham, Ryan Van Stralen, Sebastien Auger and goaltender Kevin Bailie. The loss is the first for Canada at the tournament after going 4-0 prior to Tuesday's game against Russia.

They will now face either Kazakhstan or the Czech Republic in Wednesday's bronze medal game.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
