Flags and Flyers Facing Elimination

The Petrolia Flyers and Mooretown Flags are both in must win situations following losses Tuesday night.

After dropping a pair of overtime games to open the series, the Flyers fell to first place Lakeshore 9-2 Tuesday. The two teams will meet Thursday night in Petrolia with the Flyers trailing the series 3-0. Curtis Helps has led the Flyers offensively with four goals and an assist so far in the series.

A powerplay goal in the second period was all Essex needed as they edged Mooretown 1-0. The Flags have scored just once so far this series, and have went over 122 minutes without scoring a goal. Essex allowed a league low 95 goals against this season. The Flags host Essex Friday night with their season on the line.
