Legionnaires Lose In Leamington

The Sarnia Legionnaires were shutout 4-0 in Leamington Thursday night.

Barring some significant movement in the Western Conference standings, it's looking like the Legionnaires and Flyers are going to meet in the first round of the playoffs as the four-five matchup.

Leamington sits in fourth with 57 points, six back of Chatham and 13 points ahead of Sarnia. The Legionnaires are 20-20-0-4 with 37 points, seven points up on sixth place St. Marys.

The Flyers have won four of the five matchup this season, including all three meetings in Leamington. Each team has a victory at Sarnia Arena this season, both by 2-1 margins.

The two teams will meet for the final time in the regular season February 18 at Sarnia Arena.

A quick turnaround for the hockey club, who travels to St. Thomas Friday night.
