Rookies Help Lead Legionnaires Over Lincolns

First year forward Jake Vince scored the game winner to give Sarnia 5-4 victory over St. Marys at Sarnia Arena Thursday night.

Sarnia had a two goal lead to start the third period before two quick goals from the visitors tied things up. But, the club responded nicely, with Vince finding the back of the net less then a minute later.

Joey Zappa, Cameron Rannie, Eric Marsh and Joel Pavey also scored. The goal was Pavey's first in the GOJHL. He began the season with the Lambton Jr Sting Major Midgets before joining the Legionnaires full time.

The win snaps a four game losing streak for the club, all of which were road games.

The Legionnaires are in Lambton Shores Monday, The Preds travel to St Marys Friday night.
