Preds Top Legionnaires In Family Day Matinee

The Lambton Shores Predators scored four third period goals en route to a 6-2 win over their Lambton County rivals Monday afternoon.

The Preds opened the scoring with a pair of first period tallies, before Sarnia responded with a pair of their own in the second period.

Lambton Shores pulled away in the third, scoring four times, two of which came with the man advantage.

It was a milestone afternoon for a trio of Preds, Brigden's Cam MacAlpine made 24 saves to record his first GOJHL victory. While Wes Dobbin and Marcel Berube both scored their 20th goals of the seasons.

Alec DeKoning scored for Sarnia, he leads the team with 42 points this season.

Despite the loss Monday, Sarnia won five of the six meetings this season, with two of those victories coming in overtime.

Both teams are off until Thursday night, when the Legionnaires host Chatham and the Predators welcome London.
