Local Teams Heading To OMHA Finals

Some local minor hockey teams continued their strong seasons over the weekend, as they inch closer in their quest for red hats.

Mooretown Jr. Flags Novice Reps beat Mt Brydges 5-2 to advance to the OMHA Finals.

Jr. Flags Midget Rep have also advanced to the OMHA Finals, beating Simcoe 7-0 to take the semifinal series 3-1.

Petrolia Oilers Atom Reps are heading the the OMHA Finals, following a 4-0 win over Ingersoll. They won their semifinal series 3-0.

The Mooretown Jr. Flags Novice AE team evened their semifinal series with Strathroy, following a 3-2 victory Sunday evening.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
