LCCVI Wins Girls Hockey Final

Lambton Central defeated Ridgetown 3-0 Monday evening to win the LKSSAA Senior Girls 'AA' Hockey Finals.

The Lancers were a perfect 7-0 during the regular season, scoring 46 goals and allowing just three in seven games. They followed that with an impressive little playoff run, winning the semifinals and finals by a combined 14-1 margin.

The Finals are set on the boys side.

In the  'AA' finals, LCCVI hosts North Lambton Wednesday after at 2pm at the Greenwood Recreation Centre in Petrolia.

St. Pats and Great Lakes face off in the 'AAA' finals Friday afternoon at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, that's a 3pm puck drop at rink two.

Winners will advance to SWOSSAA next week.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
