GOJHL's West Final Is Set

The top two teams in the GOJHL's Western Conference have been eliminated, setting up a final series between third place London and fourth place Leamington.

London beat Chatham 6-1 Thursday night to eliminate the Maroons in five games, advancing to the Bill Weir Championship for the second straight year. London scored a pair of first period goals, and added three more in the second period to take full control of the game, and the series. Petrolia's Brenden Trottier had an assist in the victory, he finished with two goals and four points during the five game series.

The Nationals will play Leamington, who beat first place LaSalle 6-1 Thursday to take that series in six games. The Vipers finished first in the Western Conference with 78 points, 17 more points than the fourth place Flyers.

London will now face Leamington in the Western Conference Final, the Flyers were last in the finals two years ago.
