Strong Pitching Leads Great Lakes Over LCCVI

Brett Allardyce and Jake Taylor combined for a one hit shutout as Great Lakes blanked LCCVI 6-0 in Senior Boys Baseball action Wednesday afternoon. Jordan Marks, Brett Allardyce and Noah Best helped pace the offence with a pair of hits each. Marks also stole three bases in the victory.

LCCVI and North Lambton played to a 3-3 tie in Senior Girls Soccer action. Chloe Pretty scored twice and Shayna McNally also tallied for the Lancers. Selenda Dirven, Cassidy Sollen and Sydney Sollen scored goals for the Eagles.

North Lambton and LCCVI also met in Senior Boys Soccer, where the Eagles and Lancers played to a scoreless draw.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
