Pacers Split Weekend Games

The Point Edward Pacers split their OLA Jr B games this weekend.

On Friday the Pacers fell 8-6 to the rival Red Devils in Wallaceburg.

Cameron Rannie, Jakob Knowles, Cole Wilkinson, Lucas Knowles, Jacob Coughlin and Jack Dunn scored for the Pacers while Cory Lucier and Tyler Brown tallied twice for the Red Devils.

At the annual Alumni Game on Saturday in Point Edward the Pacers crushed visiting Welland 19-9.

Jack Dunn, Jacob Vaughlin and Lucas Knowles scored three goals each for the Pacers. Korey Conroy, Cory Burr, Jake Vince and Josh Barraclough tallied with two goals each with singles going to Kevin Durco and Brett Barnes.

The Pacers record is 3-2 on the season. They visit Wallaceburg on Wednesday and host Six Nations Saturday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
