Northern Continues Strong Start To Soccer Season

The senior boys and girls soccer teams at Northern Collegiate are both off to impressive starts.

The girls team improved to an LKSSAA best 6-0-1 with a 5-0 victory over LCCVI. Leah Williams scored a hat trick while Mya McArthur and Tori McRae combined for the clean sheet in net.

A similar story for the senior boys team, they blanked LCCVI 3-0 to win their fourth straight game. Nathan Edlington, Ben Bekkers and Tracer McKay scored goals in the victory, while Eric Zhou recorded another clean sheet in net, his second in as many days. Four of Northern's five wins have been shutout victories.

The Vikings were schedule to face John McGregor Wednesday afternoon but JMSS has forfeited, giving the Vikings a 6-0-1 record.
