Pacers Pick Up Comeback Victory In Owen Sound

The Point Edward Pacers scored three goals in the third period to come from behind and beat Owen Sound 5-4 in OLA Junior 'B' lacrosse action Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 4-2 heading into the final frame, Cory Burr scored a pair of goals to pull even, before Jack Dunn potted the winner with 2:13 left to give Point Edward their first lead of the game. It was Dunn's second goal of the contest, he's now found the back of the net in five straight games.

Jakob Knowles also scored for Point Edward, to go along with a pair of assists. Jack McCauley and Lucas Knowles both had a pair of assists in the win.

Goaltender Brayden Bell made 57 saves in the victory, including all 18 shots he faced in the third period. Point Edward was out shot 61-50 overall.

The win evens the Pacers' record at 4-4, they are off until Thursday night when they host the Windsor Clippers at Point Edward Arena.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
