Another Shutout Win For Great Lakes

The Senior Boys Baseball team at Great Lakes Secondary School is off to a tremendous start to the season, improving  to 4-0 with a 9-0 win over Ursuline College.

Another strong performance on the mound from Wolf Pack pitchers Brett Brydges and Ryan Janjatovic, who combined for a five hit shut out. All four of the team's victories this season have been shutout wins. Blake Butler had three RBI's on a pair of hits, while Brett Allardyce also picked up two hits.

The loss drops Ursuline College's record to 2-3.

Great Lakes rounds out its regular season schedule Tuesday afternoon against St. Pat's. One other team has been undefeated in LKSSAA Senior Boys Baseball, Ridgetown puts its 3-0 record on the line Tuesday when they travel to LCCVI for a match up with the 3-1 Lancers.

LKSSAA Schedule For May 16th:

Senior Girls Rugby St. Pat's (2-2) at Northern (3-1) - 4pm Chatham-Kent (1-3) at Ursuline College (4-0) - 4pm

Playoffs are underway in senior boys and girls soccer, seven semifinal games are scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
