Braves Beat Exeter In Playoff Opener

Sarnia Braves opened up their league playoffs with a 10-8 win over the Exeter Express at Errol Russell Park Wednesday night.

Wade Babula threw eight innings for Sarnia, striking out seven. Babula left the game in the ninth with the Braves leading 10-4 before the Express tallied on four runs in the final inning.

Julian Service and Justin Randall each homered, it was Service's eighth of the season, while it was the sixth of the season for Randall. Keegan Brandon had four of Sarnia's 15 hits.

The Braves can take the series and earn a spot in the league finals when they travel to Exeter Thursday night.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
