Hadley Wins SGCC Charity Pro-Am

Once again Sarnia's Brian Hadley, Head CPGA professional at Thames Valley Golf Club in London has won the annual Charity Pro-Am at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.

Hadley finished the two-day event at minus 6 (68-70) on the par 72 layout, one shot better than Chris Dickson (71-68) of the host club.

It was Hadley's seventh straight title at the event.

Opening day leader David Kuss of Greenwood Golf Club finished third at minus 2 (67-75).

Derek Hinchcliffe of Sawmill Creek was fourth at plus 1 followed by Steve Tooshkenig of Monthill at plus 2.

Proceeds from this year's Charity Pro-Am will go the the St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
