Braves Win League Championship

The Sarnia Braves have capped off their fantastic 2017 season by winning the Southwest Baseball League Championship.

The Braves completed the three game sweep over Ilderton with a 3-0 victory Tuesday night.

A great outing for pitcher Wade Babula, who struck out seven and allowed just three hits. Justin Randall and Julian Service both factored in on the offence after missing the opening two games of the series. Randall and Service were among the Braves who were recognized with provincial honours.

The win was the 200th victory in the history of the Sarnia Senior Braves program.

The club will have a bit of time to rest before the Michigan Cup later this month.
