High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Sarnia Braves have capped off their fantastic 2017 season by winning the Southwest Baseball League Championship.
The Braves completed the three game sweep over Ilderton with a 3-0 victory Tuesday night.
A great outing for pitcher Wade Babula, who struck out seven and allowed just three hits. Justin Randall and Julian Service both factored in on the offence after missing the opening two games of the series. <a href="http://blackburnnews.com/sarnia/sarnia-news/2017/09/05/several-braves-receive-provincial-recognition/">Randall and Service were among the Braves who were recognized with provincial honours</a>.
The win was the 200th victory in the history of the Sarnia Senior Braves program.
The club will have a bit of time to rest before the Michigan Cup later this month.
