The Lakeshore Canadiens are the first Stobbs Division playoff team to advance.
The Canadiens beat the Blades 2-1 in Blenheim Sunday in game 4 of their junior-C first-round playoff series, sweeping the best-of-seven set.
Kyle Brothers scored the lone first period goal to put the Canadiens on the scoreboard first.
Lakeshore added another goal by Colin Sartor, on the power play at 48 seconds into the middle frame. The Blades cut the Canadiens lead in half with a goal from Nick Delyzer.
There was no scoring in the third period, and Lakeshore had two power play opportunities. The Canadiens outshot Blenheim 24-22.
Erik Morneau knocked away 21 out of 22 shots in the Lakeshore goal. Eric Stewardson had 22 saves for the Blades.
The Canadiens now await their second-round opponent.

The Integrity Amherstburg Admirals scored five unanswered goals to close out a 7-2 win over the Mooretown Flags in game 3 at the Libro Centre.
Amherstburg takes a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven Stobbs Division playoff series.
The Admirals scored first with a Josh Talerico goal with 1:57 left in the first period.
Caleb Paquette doubled the Addys' lead with a score at 30 seconds into the middle stanza. Mooretown scored back-to-back goals to tie the game. Garrett Miller scored on the power play at 1:50 and Ryan Lyle scored the equalizer. Cory Burns broke the tie late in the second period for Amherstburg with what turned out to be the winning goal.
The third period was all Admirals. Travis Campbell got two third-period assists. The goal scorers in order were Ryan Alexander, Austin Jennings, Amilio Acampora and Brett Smith.
Ben Larder collected 36 saves out of 38 tries for the Addys. Nolan Hakr had 38 saves for the Flags.
Game 4 is Wednesday night, Valentine's Day, in Mooretown.

Jax D'Hondt stopped all 26 shots in goal for the Essex 73s in their 3-0 shutout of the Flyers in Petrolia.
The 73s sweep their first-round playoff series and await their second-round opponent.
William Stadder opened the scoring with ten seconds left in the first period for Essex.
Essex scored two more goals in the middle frame. Anthony Cristofaro made the game 2-0 on the power play at 12:04. This was followed by a Luke Gecse score.
There was no further scoring, but a total of 18 penalty minutes were handed out on both sides. Petrolia outshot Essex 14-5 in the final frame.
Jakob Knowles ends the Petrolia season with 26 saves in the Flyers net.

The Dresden Kings scored two late goals for a 4-3 win over the Wheatley Omstead Sharks in game 3 of their series at Dresden.
The Kings hold a commanding 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven set.
Justin Pinsonneault scored for the Sharks at 6:34 of the first period.
Lucas Spence scored back-to-back goals in the second period to give Dresden a tie, then the lead, both on the power play. Wheatley knotted the score at two apiece when Alex Mosher put the puck in the net.
The Sharks took the lead just before the five-minute mark of the third period when Delaney MacDonald scored on the power play. Dresden got it back on the power play just over two minutes later when Kenny Chisholm scored. The Kings got the game-winner from Nolan VandenBoorn at 11:11.
Brendan Johnston got 22 saves in the net for Dresden. Catalin Morin stopped 44 shots in goal for the Sharks.
The Kings go for the sweep Monday night in Wheatley.

Adam Keyes and Peter Fleming score twice each as the St. Thomas Stars beat the Lincolns 5-1 at St. Marys.
The Stars are in fourth place in the GOJHL Western Conference with 56 points. The Lincolns are last with 25 points but are still in the hunt for one of two open playoff spots.
St. Thomas scored their first two goals late in the first period. Ryan Bangs started the scoring first, then Fleming scored his first goal of the afternoon.
The Stars went up 3-0 in the second frame with Keyes' first goal at 9:51. St. Marys got on the board over five minutes later with a Jake Weston goal, though Keyes' second goal of the game over a minute later gave St. Thomas a three-goal lead again.
Fleming's second goal of the contest in the third provided insurance for the Stars.
Jesse Hodgson stopped all but one of the Lincolns' 26 shots in goal for St. Thomas. Jacob Hutchings had 28 saves for St. Marys.
St. Marys travels to Sarnia Thursday night to take on the Legionnaires. St. Thomas welcomes the Chatham Maroons Friday night.
