Local Golfer Qualifies For US Mid-Amateur

A Sarnia-native is heading south to compete against some of the top amateurs in golf.

Eric Pattenaude recently qualified for the US Mid-Amateur tournament taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina September 22-27.

The Sarnia Golf & Curling Club (SGCC) member fired a 68 at Grosse Ile Country Club in Michigan on August 13 to qualify for the event.

Pattenaude, a graduate of Lambton College and Northern Secondary, shot rounds of 71-73 at the 2018 Men’s Club Championship at SGCC.

The Mid-Am consists of 264 of the top amateur golfers age 25 and older.
