Legionnaires fall to London

Jon Sanderson opened the scoring at 3:44 of the first period, but the Legionnaires coughed up three goals, two of them while shorthanded before Alex Dekoning made it close with just over a minute left in the first period.

Then the powerful London Nationals scored twice in the second, twice in the third, and cruised to a 7-2 win over Sarnia in GOJHL action.

Both second period goals for London were with the extra man advantage with the Legionnaires racking up 49 minutes in the sin bin in five games this season

The Nationals have outscored their opponents 31-5 in five wins against no losses .

Sarnia hosts Strathroy tonight .

One other game last night saw St Thomas double up on LaSalle 4-3.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
