Sting's Kammerer named Academic Player of the Month

On Friday Sting defenceman Colton Kammerer was named the OHL West Division Academic Player of the Month for October.

The 17-year-old native of Brooklin, Ontario holds an 89% average in grade 12 University-level Math, Business Leadership and Accounting courses at Northern Collegiate.

Sting academic advisor Mark Scott said Kolton "takes a lot of pride in his studies."

He was also the West Division Academic Player of the Month in February 2018.

Kammerer has a pair of assists through 14 games this season.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
