Petrolia's Dave Hunter on Top Prospects game coaching staff

There will be some local flavour at the CHL/NHL Top Prospects game Wednesday night in Red Deer, Alberta.

Petrolia native Dave Hunter is on the Team Cherry coaching staff, making his coaching debut against Team Orr.

The 61-year-old skated in 746 NHL games, spending most of his career with Oilers, where he won championships in 1984, 1985, and 1987.

Before joining the pro ranks, he spent three seasons with the Sudbury Wolves of the then Ontario Hockey Association.

He's the brother of London Knights co-owners Mark and Dale Hunter.

Meanwhile, Sarnia Sting forward Jamieson Rees is playing for Team Cherry. He's ranked as the 23rd best CHL skater coming into the game.

This season, he has 8 goals and 15 assists in 24 games after missing some time due to injury.
