Former Sting named Attack head coach

A former Sarnia Sting has taken over the head coaching duties for the Owen Sound Attack.

Alan Letang was named the Attack's interim head coach after the club parted ways with head coach Todd Gill Monday morning.

Letang, a member of Sarnia's inaugural team in 1994-95, has been an assistant coach with the Attack since 2016.

The 43-year-old native of Renfrew, Ontario spent three seasons with the Cornwall and New Market Royals before playing one season in Sarnia. Letang posted five goals and 36 assists in 62 games played while with the Sting.

Another former Sting, Jordan Hill, will be staying on as the Attack's lone assistant coach. The 29-year-old Sarnia native spent three seasons with the Sting from 2007 to 2010, and has been with Owen Sound since 2017 as an assistant coach.
