Marinaro and Moore-Towers fall just short at Four Continents

Sarnia's Michael Marinaro and partner Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catherines had to settle for the silver medal following the pairs free skate at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Anaheim, California Saturday.

The reigning Canadian national champions, who led after the short program, fell 0.06 points short of claiming the top spot.

China's Wenjing Sui and Cong Han finished with a combined score of 211.11, just ahead of Moore-Towers and Marinaro's 211.05 mark.

Cheng Peng and Yang Jin of China placed third with 205.42.

Canada had two other duos competing; Evelyn Walsh and Trent Michaud finished seventh, while Camille Ruest and Andrew Wolfe placed eighth.
