Imperials' season ends with semi-final shutout on home turf

The tables were turned on the Sarnia Imperials.

After defeating the Steel City Patriots 44-15 in last year's Northern Football Conference semifinal the visiting Patriots shut out the Imperials 43-0 in Saturday night's semi.

Sarnia was vying for their third trip to the final in the last four years.

The defending champion GTA All Stars topped the Ottawa Sooners 35-13 in the other semifinal.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
