Legionnaires lose second straight to Chatham

The Sarnia Legionnaires lost at home to the Chatham Maroons for a second straight week in GOJHL hockey action.

Sarnia fell 5-1 to Chatham on Thursday after losing 5-2 in last week's match up.

Logan Gardner opened the scoring for the Legionnaires 3:23 into the first period, Bryar Dittmer picked up an assist.

The Maroons scored three goals in the second period and two in the third for the victory.

Adrian Stubberfield, Griffin Robinson, Brett Fisher, Dallas Anderson and Blake Boudreau all scored for Chatham while Ty Moss had two helpers.

The Legionnaires were outshot 45-27 and were held scoreless on two powerplay chances.

They're back in action on Saturday night at home to Leamington before heading to London on Wednesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
