Sting acquire forward from Erie

The Sarnia Sting have acquired 19-year-old forward Joe Mack from the Erie Otters.

The New Hudson, Michigan native is entering his third season in the Ontario Hockey League.

The 6’2” 192 lbs. forward was originally selected by the Otters in the 8th round, 161st overall, in the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. In a combined 118 OHL games, Mack has tallied 17 goals, 15 assists and 40 penalty minutes.

Sting GM Nick Sinclair is pleased with the acquisition. “The addition of Joe to our forward group will help provide some experience and depth to our lineup heading into the season," he said.

In exchange for the forward, the Otters will receive a 13th round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection.
