Sting lose to red hot Storm in Guelph

The Guelph Storm scored a goal in each period enroute to 3-0 victory over the Sarnia Sting at the Sleeman Centre Friday for their tenth straight win.

Eric Uba scored twice for the Storm with Matthew Papais adding a single.

Russian import Pavel Gogolev had two assists.

Third star Ethan Langevin was the best player for Sarnia, turning aside 36 of 39 shots.

"We're an offensive team and tonight we just didn't have it. Our legs weren't moving and we've gotta get more shots on net next time."

Langevin also said "They had a couple of chances early on and they kept it going through the rest of the game. They shut it down defensively which good teams do and we have to learn to do that as well."

The Sting managed only 17 shots on Storm goalie Nico Daws.

With the win Guelph is tied for first place in the OHL's Western Conference with idle Windsor.

Sarnia is home to West Division rival Sault Ste. Marie Sunday at 4:05 p.m. The pregame show starts at 3:35 on 103.9 FM - 1070 AM CHOK.
