Saginaw Spirit to help spread Christmas spirit at PASA

The Saginaw Spirit will help spread Christmas spirit when they visit the Sting at Progressive Auto Sales Arena Friday night.

It's the 22nd annual Teddy Bear Toss Game. Organizers are hoping to collect a record 4,500 stuffed toys for children in need. To date, over 63,000 toys have been collected for local charities including the Salvation Army, St. Clair Child and Youth, and Pathway's Health Centre for Children. Fans will toss stuffed toys onto the ice when the Sting score their first goal against the Saginaw Spirit, at Progressive Auto Sales Arena. Puck drop is 7:05 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
