Sting trade Kooy for draft picks

The Sarnia Sting has dealt one of their goaltenders to the Oshawa Generals in exchange for draft picks.

Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced on Tuesday that the hockey club has traded Bradford native Jordan Kooy for Windsor's second-round pick in 2020, Oshawa's fifth-round pick in 2022, and Kitchener's third-round pick in 2024 based on conditions.

The 6’03” goaltender was originally selected by the London Knights in the eighth round of the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection and was acquired in a deal with the Knights back in October 2019. Kooy played six games for Sarnia and posted a 4.53 GAA and a 0.889 save percentage.
