Sting hire new head athletic therapist

The Sarnia Sting have hired a new head athletic therapist.

The OHL club announced Monday that Jennifer Love will assume the role this coming season.

The Windsor native joins the Sting after completing her Bachelor of Applied Health Science Degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College in 2020.

Since 2017, she has gained extensive experience as an athletic therapy student, completing seasons with the Turner Fenton Secondary School Wrestling Team, Oakville Jr. Hornets as well as two seasons with both the St. Clair Green Giants and the Toronto Marlies.

"I am extremely grateful and eager to start my career with the Sarnia Sting," said Love. "I look forward to working with the players, coaching staff, and the entire organization and supporting them in achieving their goals. I am honoured to join the growing number of females in the OHL and am thankful for the opportunity to encourage other young females to pursue a career in the sporting industry."

Sting General Manager Dylan Seca is happy to have Love on board, and said she will fit right in.

"Jennifer is someone with elite skills, combined with her experience in the American Hockey League with the Toronto Marlies," said Seca. "She has excelled at all levels of education and is driven towards excellence."

The Sting will open training camp on Monday, August 30 and will kick off the preseason in London on Friday, September 3.
